Homeschooling gives your family lots of flexibility to set your own schedule and go at your own pace. Each Notgrass History course is designed to stand on its own. You can use Notgrass curriculum in any order, and you can switch to Notgrass at any time during your homeschool journey, even in the middle of a school year.
If you tried another curriculum in the fall semester and feel like you need to make a change, you can start Notgrass History in January. If you normally start your school year in the fall, you may want to stretch one Notgrass History curriculum over one and half years (three traditional semesters) to get yourself back on that cycle.
If you've already studied up through the Civil War in another U.S. history curriculum, you can choose to start in Part 2 of Our Star-Spangled Story, America the Beautiful, or Exploring America. You will miss the great content in Part 1 of those courses, but it is possible. You can purchase any of our books individually instead of purchasing the complete Curriculum Package. Another option is to read quickly through Part 1 as a refresher, without doing all of the activities.
